Ashton's 6th Birthday Party

Ashton cutting his cake with a Samari sword with some help from his instructor, Mr. Kelly.

Ashton turns 6 on 10-26. We had his party at USA Karate and he and all the guest had a blast. They played all kinds of karate games and did a little bit of karate. He had several of his school friends there as well as his family and church friends. I can't believe my baby is turning 6 years old. Where has the time gone? Maybe we should try to have another one?? Naaa, one is enough for me, hahaha!!!!!

Ashton PreK Graduation

OK, I know it has been forever since I have posted on here. Things are kinda crazy at the Webb household. With Nathan in paramedic school, Ashton finishing up school and me working, I just have not had time to blog or hardly do anything else. Anyway, Nathan has an "A" so far in the paramedic class and Ashton graduated PreK at First Assembly, which by the way was a very big deal. Unfortunately the only pics I got are all on internal memory. My camera has switched to internal memory and I can't find my cable to download the rest on the computer. I will have to go buy a new one I guess. I will post some later.

Snow 2009

Yay, we had enough snow this time around to actually build a snowman. We got out earlier this morning before we knew church had been canceled and Ashton only got to play for a little bit. We went inside around 9:45 for him to get a bath and as soon as he got out of the tub I got a call saying church had been canceled. Needless to say we laid around the house for a while after his bath and then after lunch we went back out for a while longer and that's when we actually built our (I must say) awesome snowman, GO MOM!!! Unfortunately as soon as I got through taking pictures, Ashton decided he would run into it and destroy it, sad for me :( but we had fun while it lasted!!!

Orange Belt Graduation

This is his main karate teacher, Mr. Kelley.
Ashton is saying "OK mom, enough with the pics".

He's trying to give a thumbs up!!!

Tonight was Ashton's belt graduation at USA Karate. He tested for his orange belt this time. They have a test every 2 months. They make a very big deal out of each graduation. I learned the hard way when he tested for his yellow belt about this big deal. I had a camera but no video camera except for what is on my digital camera which of course is not good for long time recording. Anyway, I felt very much like a bad parent for not being better prepared, so of course this time I brought both cameras. I would post more video but it is way too long.

The tooth came out!!!

Yes!!! the tooth has come out on it's own. I picked Ashton up from school today and he was so excited to tell me his tooth came out during lunch. He said he thought it was part of his pretzel and when he spit it out, after not being able to chew it up, he said he saw blood come out of his mouth. He said it didn't scare him, he thought it was so cool. And yes, I do realize the pic of him has his middle finger sticking up, lol.

Loose Teeth

OK, I am officially freaking out about this. Last night when I was helping Ashton brush his teeth I just happened to notice that he has 2 loose teeth, 1 on top and 1 on the bottom. He seems to think that this is really cool but I have a major problem with it. First of all it doesn't seem right that he is old enough to even have loose teeth. Second, I am totally freaked out about the whole teeth falling out thing. I was grossed out about it when I was little and I am still slightly grossed out about it. You see I have dreams a lot that my teeth are falling out and from what I understand there is a meaning to this type of dream, (according to some sort of dream expert). Needless to say I am not looking forward to going down this road just yet, although I am keenly aware that as a parent I have no choice but to go down this road. It is inevitable. I'll have to keep you all updated as to how and when they will come out. God Help Me!!!

Snow Again!!!

Ashton had a fun day today since it snowed again today. Of course he was excited that he didn't have to go to school today and he got to go to work with me instead. He watched movies pretty much all day and played in the snow only for a little bit. When we were getting ready to leave he saw this big ice cycle hanging off the bottom of the truck and he just had to hold it.

The letter "P"

It is the letter "P" this week at school and Ashton had to dress like a pirate today. Do you know how hard it is to find pirate clothes when it's not Hallowen. I lucked out a bit and did find him some pirate stuff at Party City. We just had to put the clothes together at home. Needless to say he was pretty easy to get up this morning to get dressed for school.

Snow

It snowed this week and Ashton thought it was just amazing. He thought that it was going to stick but was highly disappointed when he discovered that it wasn't.

Paramedic Bound

Well, Nathan has finally gotten registered for the paramedic program. He will be starting on this Friday. He is pumped about starting and getting that out of the way for good. Hopefully it will take only 9 months to finish although he has 12 months to complete it. He will be very busy with working and going to school full time but it will be worth it once he's done.

I will try to get some more pictures posted soon!!!

Happy New Year

Hope everyone had a great new years. We got the luxury of spending some time with our dear sweet friends and all of our children. The kids stayed up as long as we did and seemed to enjoy themselves just as much. We had good food, fellowship, and lots of fun. I wish we could do it more often.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all!!! What a morning it has been here at the Webb household. Here are just a few pics of Ashton with some of his gifts that he received from Santa. Of course the clothes are from mom and dad, which he could have cared less for. He is going from toy to toy in a matter of minutes and I must say Santa brought way to much to Ashton this year, but oh well, their only little once. We will be attending my parents home this afternoon to have Christmas with my family and what a time it will be. We had Nathan's family over yesterday and of course once again his parents went overboard on their only grandchild. He was so excited when he opened his Wii, of course we were pretty pumped about that too!!! And I might add, Nathan has gone back to his childhood ways with all the Hot Wheels and remote control cars Ashton has received.

Amanda, the RN

Amanda has finally made it!!! For those of you who don't know I have an older sister, she just finished her last RN nursing class last week and past her final exams before her pinning ceremony. Here are just a couple of pics from her pinning. She will of course have to take the state exam next year but that should be a piece of cake for her. I know she has really worked long and hard to earn this degree and I for one am so proud of her for doing so. She has been an inspiration to all of our family. Pictured here are her and her son, Ben, and one of her, Ben, and Roger, and of course me and Ashton (sorry baby your face got cut a little short). Love you sis and Great Job!!!

School Christmas Program

Ashton had his school program last week. He along with the rest of his class were angels. He did really well through the whole program and even did some sign language. He always has to make a funny gesture in his pictures though, Ha :)

Karate Picture

He's so cute in his GI (gee), he wears black because he is in the ninja club. Here he is getting ready for his class.

Karate

Here is Ashton in action in his karate class. I think it is so cute but I can tell he is already getting bored with it, no surprise there. He is learning a lot though and believe it or not he is a little more disciplined to doing things at home now.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with our families and hope you all did as well. First we spent some time in Batesville, MS with some of Nathan's family and their children. Ashton had a blast with their kids building a pumpkin snowman and playing on their farm. Then we went to Savannah for the rest of the weekend for my family dinner. Pictured here are Ashton working on my parents house they are building, with Ben after dinner, and Ashton and 3 of his cousins with their pumpkin snowman. And yes that is a mow hawk Ashton is wearing, funny huh!

Ashton's Thanksgiving Dinner at school

This is Ashton at his Big Thanksgiving Dinner at FACS. He is pictured here with his good friend, Tate. They each got an Indian Vest and we had to decorate them. Ashton helped me pick out his embellishments for his vest. I think we did a pretty good job with it!!

Hallelujah Party

Here is Ashton at our church Hallelujah party. As you can see he went as a cowboy and he won in his category for best costume.

Ashton

Ashton is growing like a weed. This was taken at his 5 yr old birthday party which took place at Chuck E Cheese's back in October. He had a great party with lots of his friends. He is also now taking karate and he loves it. He's always wanting to practice on me of course.
